ReevesReel was, technically, established in the late 70s when its founder, Robert Reeves, saw "Star Wars" and thought, "That's what I want to do!" Borrowing his father's 8mm camera, he made two "Star Wars" parodies: "Defenders of Earth" and "Defenders of Earth 2".

Now, ReevesReel produces short films – only a few of which are "Star Wars" parodies. Some have even won awards.
